Our 2 Year Bloggerversary!

Who’d have thought I’d be sat here, writing this post, exactly 2 years after Jenna and I sat round her table with our laptops and set up a little blog called Flick Chicks? Not me!

Technically, Flick Chicks has been around much longer than 2 years, but not in blog form. After an awkward ‘Hey I like movies’ ‘Hey I like movies too’ conversation we soon started taking our lunch breaks together to gush over what movies we’d seen recently that the other just had to watch. We would exchange DVDs, and eventually have movie nights together at each other’s parents houses.

When we no longer worked together, we promised to keep in touch via email, and that normally took the form of movie reviews, silly lists and heated (but never serious) debates when our opinions clashed. Now, we do the same thing, but you guys get to read it too! 434 published posts later, and a grand total of over 80,000 pageviews, we are overwhelmed with where we’ve come. This is just a hobby to us, something we do in our spare time, and to be able to call so many of you other bloggers our friends is one of the greatest feelings ever.

Now, if I’m totally honest, this date has kind of taken us by surprise and we’re completely unprepared, so rather than leave this post a mushy mess of feelings, I thought I’d share some of our most popular posts to date. But what I also want to do is thank each and every one of you who visits this little blog, and leaves us a comment or two. It means we know we aren’t simply talking to ourselves, and without you guys, it wouldn't be half as fun to run this blog. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
